UX/UI concept

As UX/UI Designer, I was responsible for designing the complete interface system, from menus to HUD, creating a unified visual language that adapts across multiple distinct racing eras while maintaining consistency and usability.

Era-Adaptive HUD Design

One system, multiple visual identities. The HUD transforms its typography and graphic elements to match each racing era while preserving core usability patterns.

Information Hierarchy

Racing demands instant readability. Every HUD element is prioritized by criticality: position, lap data and telemetry stay prominent while secondary information adapts to context.

System Thinking

Every component and interaction was designed as part of an interconnected system. Menu flows, HUD overlays and modal patterns share a common structural grammar.

The visual language draws from motorsport heritage, using angular shapes, high-contrast typography and vibrant color coding to create an interface that feels authentic.

HUD

The HUD is where the design system faces its greatest challenge. Each racing era demands a distinct visual personality, from the analog dials to the digital telemetry of modern cars, while every version must deliver the same critical race information at a glance. Position, standings, lap count, timing, minimap and speed remain constant, while their visual expression transforms.

Vintage (50s to 80s)

Full analog treatment with a prominent circular speedometer, needle-based RPM indication and vintage gauge textures. The most dramatic visual departure is warm tones and physical instrument feel. Color-coded sectors and timing data use high-contrast neon accents.

Modern (2026)

Updated modern interface reflecting next-generation racing technology. Enhanced telemetry elements reflect new race features and the new electric engine. Other elements remain consistent with the modern-era HUD.

Formula E

Electric racing demands its own visual identity. A blue-dominant palette replaces the tones of other eras. Energy management takes center stage over traditional fuel indicators. Attack Mode UI elements are unique to the electric racing format. The HUD maintains structural consistency while introducing Formula E-specific data points.

Design system consistency

Across all eras, the information architecture remains identical: position and standings in the top-left, lap and timing in the top-right, instrument cluster in the bottom-right, minimap in the bottom-left. Only the visual skin changes: typography, gauge style and graphic treatment adapt to each era. This allows players to switch between eras without relearning the interface.

Motion graphics

Motion design and prototyping for UI and HUD systems, developing animation concepts, transitions, VFX treatments, loading icon and interactive feedback. Animations were authored in After Effects and translated into Unreal Engine, either in collaboration with VFX/UI programmers or through direct in-engine implementation.

Color palettes

Menu palette

A high-contrast palette designed to establish a clear visual identity across the game’s menus. Deep black and white provide the structural foundation, while vivid blue acts as the primary accent for highlights and interactive elements. Other colors introduce additional layers of hierarchy, helping differentiate alerts, key information and contextual states.

HUD palette

The HUD palette is built around immediately recognizable colors, prioritizing readability and fast information recognition during gameplay. Each color is assigned a specific functional meaning. Additional variations, such as the sector colors and tire compounds, create a flexible visual coding system that allows different types of information to be distinguished at a glance without relying solely on text.

Video Production

Trailers

I led the video production for Formula Legends, creating all game trailers from editing and post-production to final delivery and platform-specific exports. Content was adapted and delivered across the company’s social media channels and the various gaming platforms supporting the title.

Dev Blogs

I also produced the Dev Blog video series for the game’s ongoing updates and patches, translating new features, improvements and content into engaging video content for the community.
